CHANNA MASALA
Channa masala is an all time, all age favourite.This becomes an easy and versatile option to so many dainty and delicious dishes.I’ll explain how.Whenever i make Channa masala for any indian flat breads like rotis or phulkas,i make a little extra and keep it in the fridge and make bread channa,samosa chaat or simply chaana chat itself.It can be made to so many tasty recipes in no time.I planned channa masala for a saturday dinner and paired it with simple rotis.I always make There are so many ways of making channa masala and there is no hard and fast rule.I make it this way and it.s a easy proceedure to follow.So here goes the recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup channa / Chick peas
- 1 no onion
- 2 nos tomato .
- 14 tsp Cumin seeds / Jeera
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Chilly Red powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Chole masala powder
- ginger a bit
- 1 clove garlic
- to taste salt
- 2 nos Chilly Greeen .
- a few coriander leaves

Instructions
- Soak chick peas overnight or for minimum 8 hrs.
- Pressure by adding salt and water for 3 whistles.
- Chop onions and tomato and keep them ready.
- Heat oil and add jeera and onion and fry till pink.
- Take the remaining quantity of tomatoes and along with ginger and green chilly place it a blender.
- Grind to a paste.
- Now while in the kadai after the onions and add the rest of the tomatoes.
- Add red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and chole masala.
- Add now the boiled chick peas and add salt.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rotis or phulkas.

Notes
- You can add a squeeze of lemon in the end.
- You can sprinkle chaat masala on top while serving.
- Addition of freshly cut onions as garnish on top also adds to the taste.
