CHANNA RAITA
It is getting hotter and hotter each day and it is always a chill feeling to have something cold.Usually in summers besides juices,lassis and ice creams, for side dish to the main course i try to include more raitas and salads.As I was wondering what to make something for raita with a twist,this channa raita recipe came as a brain storm to my mind and I ended up in making this.This is a super quick and easy recipe which can made by kids too.As simple as that.
I had made channa masala the day before and some of the soaked channa was lying in the fridge.As i had to make a raita and was wondering with what should i make it,this channa came to my mind and lo!Here comes another recipe at Nithya’s Kitchen.It was super creamy as i had used set curd available in the market.You could also use hung curd as that would be super thick as well.Here goes the recipe for Channa Raita a must try for this summer.

- 200 gms curd Set
- 1/4 cup Channa Black
- 1 onion
- 1 Chilly Green
- coriander leaves -for garnishing
- 1/2 tsp red chilli Powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin Powder
- to taste salt
Ingredients

- Soak Black channa overnight.
- Pressure cook channa for 3 whistles.
- Chop onion and green chilli an put them in a vessel.
- Add set curd to it.
- Add cooked channa and salt.
- Add red chilli powder,cumin powder and coriander leaves.
- Mix well together.
- Channa Raita is ready.
Notes
You can chaat masala powder too for that tanginess.
You could use white channa or a mixture of white and black channa.
You can add carrots,cucumber and tomatoes too.
If you like you can add pomegranate seeds also.
