DATES FIG NUTS ROLL
I have been thinking of making this healthy dessert for quite sometime now.As summer is at it’s peak I tried many varieties of food which involve less time to spend in the kitchen.And yes,that should be easy to make as well.With very less ingredients and within a short time this delectable sweet was made and lo! It vanished in seconds.I read this recipe in a dessert cookbook and was tempted to make it for a long long time and finally did.When you are in a mood or craving for some delicious sweet that is healthy and can be made in a jiffy,try this one out.

- 200 gms Dates Seedless
- 10 Cashewnuts
- 10 Pistachios
- 10 Almonds
- 2 tsps Melon Seeds
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
Ingredients

- Chop all the nuts finely.
- In a pan dry roast them taking care not to burn them.Set them aside for later use.
- Dry roast poppy seeds on the same pan.
- Allow it to cool.
- Chop figs and dates finely.
- Place them in a blender.
- Grind smoothly.
- In a pan add ghee and add the ground fig and dates mixture.
- Wait till turns gooey.
- Add chopped nuts now.
- Mix evenly.
- Arrange to cool on a plate.
- Make a log or cylindrical shape.
- Roll the log over roasted poppy seeds.
- Cover with a cling foil and place it in a freezer for an hour.
- After an hour take out.Keep for 5 minutes.Cut in to roundels with the help of a knife.
- Delectable Dates Fig Nuts Roll is ready.Serve immediately.
Notes
You can avoid melon seeds if you don't have stock.
You can add walnuts,apricots or hazelnuts also.
You can make this with only dates or only figs as well.
You can coat with dessicated coconut in place of poppy seeds.
