KASHMIRI PULAO
Everyone is fond of Pulao and today I made Kashmiri Pulao with Kohinoor Authentic Basmati Rice.Kohinoor brand is known in India and across the globe for their traditional and pure rice.The rice has a signature sweet flavour and heavenly aroma which is beyond comparison.The quality standards are also matchless and as a food blogger,it was a pleasant experience for me to cook with these products. “Bas” means aroma and “mati” means full of in hindi. The grains are slender and flavorful. This traditional and authentic variety of Basmati Rice is naturally aged for 24 months and matured to perfection for its pearl look,soft feel and sweet aroma.You can buy these rice at all leading stores through the country or online.
Now coming to the recipe,Kashmiri Pulao is an amalgamation of fruits and nuts with mild spices and Kohinoor Authentic Basmati Rice. Though I have tasted this restaurants,never tried this at home.I could make this recipe with much ease and I presume all can.Over to the quick and easy recipe of Kashmiri Pulao.

- 1 cup basmati rice Kohinoor Authentic
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups water
- - a few Strands saffron
- 1 onion
- 1/2 tsp jeera Powder
- to taste salt
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 cinnamon -bit
- 2 Cloves
- 1 Star Anise
- NUTS FRUITS AND
- 1/4 pineapple (chopped)
- 1/4 cup pomegranate
- a few Cashew Nuts
- a few Almonds
- a few Raisins
Ingredients

- Soak Basmati rice in water for half an hour.
- In a pan add oil and temper with the ingredients given in the "TO TEMPER " table.
- Add rice and water and cook in a closed pan.
- Soak saffron strands in milk.
- Add this to the rice.
- Rice is done.
- In a pan add all the nuts.
- Add oil and onion and fry.
- Fry onion till brown.
- Chop pineapple and take out pomegrante seeds.Assemble all ingredients.
- Add dry fruits and fried onion to the cooked rice.
- Now add jeera powder.
- Add salt and fruits.
- Mix well.
- Kashmiri Pulao is served.Enjoy it hot.
Notes
You can add cherries or tutti frutti also for garnishing.
You can add apples and pears too.
If you like add a grren chilli while tempering.
Don't cook the fruits,add them at the last time.
