Instructions
Soak badam in hot water for half an hour.
Remove the skin by simply pressing it.The skin will come off.
Grind it to a paste by adding half the quantity of the said milk.Let the mixture be not too smooth.
It should look like this.
Soak saffron strands in milk.
Make a sugar syrup with sugar and water.
Once the sugar dissolves and sugar syrup is bubbling add badam paste and cardamom powder.
Add rest of the milk.
Let the mixture cook and wait.Add ghee now and keep on stirring till the mixture thickens.
Badam Halwa is done.
Wait till ghee leaves the sides.

I did not grind the badam to a smooth paste since I wanted a grainy texture.
Adding cardamom powder is optional.
Adding condensed milk adds to the flavour.
Do not skip saffron as it gives unique taste to halwa.
Keep the flame low while cookins as it may get burnt.
