Instructions
Soak chick peas overnight or for minimum 8 hrs.
Pressure by adding salt and water for 3 whistles.
Chop onions and tomato and keep them ready.
Heat oil and add jeera and onion and fry till pink.
Take the remaining quantity of tomatoes and along with ginger and green chilly place it a blender.
Grind to a paste.
Now while in the kadai after the onions and add the rest of the tomatoes.
Add red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and chole masala.
Add now the boiled chick peas and add salt.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rotis or phulkas.

You can add a squeeze of lemon in the end.
You can sprinkle chaat masala on top while serving.
Addition of freshly cut onions as garnish on top also adds to the taste.
