  1. Soak channa overnight.
  2. Pressure cook next morning for 3 whistles.
  3. Chop veggies and keep it ready.
  4. Soak basmati rice in water for half an hour.
  5. In a pan add oil,jeera,bay leaf,turmeric and grated ginger.A
  6. Add chopped onion.
  7. Add potatoes and rest of the veggies.
  8. Add now garam masala,red chilli powder and salt.Let the veggies soften a bit.
  9. Add soaked channa and rice.Add water and pressure cook.
  10. Channa Pulao is ready.
  11. Serve channa pulao with any raita of your choice or pack it for lunch with any chips or gravy.

If you want you can add green peas and red capsicum to look more colourful.

Boondi raita tastes best with this pulao.Any raita would do.
