Soak green peas/pattani overnight or at least for 8 hrs.
Pressure cook for 3 whistles and strain.
For making spice powder dry roast in a pan all the ingredients given in the for the powder table till nice aroma comes and the spices turn golden brown.Keep the flame low and ensure they donu2019t turn black as it will give a bitter taste.
Once cooled place them in a blender.
Grind coarsely.
In a pan heat oil,mustrad ,urad dal,curry leaves and asafoetida.
Once they crackle add boiled peas,turmeric powder,salt,spice powder and freshly grated coconut.Mix well.
Wait till all mixture is combined.
Green peas sundal/Pattani sundal is ready for offering as Neivedhyam.
