  1. Dry roast little millet in a pan.
  2. Fry till golden brown.
  3. Once cooled place samai in a blender.
  4. Powder it nicely.
  5. In a cup of hot water add turmeric powder.
  6. In a plate add powdered millet and sprinkle turmeric water.
  7. Check for the consistency.It should be like when you hold it it should form a ball and when you loosen it it should fall off.
  8. Add powdered jaggery,coconut gratings and cardamom powder.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Steam the mixture in an idli pot.
  11. Switch off the flame once done.
  12. In a pan add ghee and fry till golden brown cashews and raisins.
  13. Add the mixture to the steamed samai and jaggey puttu.
  14. Offer to Goddess and serve as prasadam.

You can add any nuts of your choice.

Use pure ghee for that pleasing aroma.
