CORN FLOUR HALWA/DIWALI SWEETS
Corn Flour Halwa was the most wanted to try recipe in my blog.This is also called karachi halwa and is a very easy recipe to follow.I have made quite a few halwas,but this halwa is an easy adaptable recipe and is foolproof too.Even beginners can try this with much confidence.I was excited in making this halwa as this was my first time making this.The halwa came out very well and consistency was that of silk.I have see in sweet boxes with assorted sweets,this corn flour halwa finds a main place.They usually make in red,yellow,orange ad green colours.I had orange colour in my hand,so used it up.See down below the yummy recipe of Corn Flour Halwa.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cup water
- 4 tsp ghee
- a few Cashewnuts
- 1 pinch orange food colour-

Instructions
- Mix corn flour in water without lumps.
- Add food colour to it.
- Take a pan and add ghee.Roast cashews and keep aside.
- Make a syrup with sugar and water.
- Wait till it reaches one string consistency.
- Add corn flour mixture now.
- Allow it to cook and keep on stirring to avoid lumps.
- Keep on cooking.
- Once it is glossy add ghee.
- Mix well.
- Cook till ghee leaves sides and add roasted cashews.
- Spread the halwa in a greased plate.
- Cut in to squares.Corn Flour Halwa is ready to enjoy.

- You can use any colour of your choice.
- You can also add any nuts of your choice.
- This halwa requires very less ghee,so use as mentioned.
