VEGETABLE PULAO/LUNCH BOX IDEA
Vegetable pulao is tasty mix of added veggies in mildly spiced rice.I am posting here another lunch box variety and I think it will be useful to many beginners as well.This vegetable pulao is a filling,nutritious rice variety which can not only be prepared easily but it requires less time .This variety rice is liked by all kids as it mildly flavored with spices and it is easy to digest as well.Normally I make this when sudden guests pop over and I am running out of anything new.Kids who are fussy about eating veggies will end up finishing this pulao and is a good option to pack for lunch.This vegetable pulao can be made keeping in view how much of each veggies you want to have depending on your taste.This easy meal can be a hit at your home too,if you try and make this and do let me know.

- 1 cup basmati rice |
- 1 carrot |
- handful Peas | a
- 1 potato |
- 1 onion |
- 1/2 tsp Cumin / Jeera |
- 3 Clove |
- 1/2 Bay Leaf |
- cinnamon Stick | a small bit
- to taste salt |
Ingredients

- Soak basmati rice in water for half an hour.
- In a cooker add oil and add onions to saute.Add now,bay leaf,cinnamon stick and clove.
- Add rest of the veggies now and then soaked rice
- Add salt and 1 1/2 cups of water.Cook for 2-3 whistles
- Vegetable Pulao is ready.
- Vegetable Pulao is ready.I served with onion raita.
Notes.
You can add a cardamom pod if you want.
Adding a pod of garlic or green chilles and garlic ground paste also enhances the taste.
You can add fried cashewnuts on top for a richer look.
